They don’t honor their own lives, they piss on their lives. They shit them away. Dumb fuckers. They concentrate too much on fucking, movies, money, family, fucking. Their minds are full of cotton. They swallow God without thinking, they swallow country without thinking. Soon they forget how to think, they let others think for them. Their brains are stuffed with cotton. They look ugly, they talk ugly, they walk ugly. Play them the great music of the centuries and they can’t hear it. Most people’s deaths are a sham. There’s nothing left to die.”

Recunosc cu regret ca nu am citit Bukowski. Iar citiatul din postarea ta mi-a reamintit sentimentul care m-a incercat cand am citit Nietzsche. Si anume regasirea propriilor idei, conceptii, trairi chiar in paginile acelor carti. Era ca si cum as fi reusit eu insami, in sfarsit, sa le dau glas, o forma, sa le definesc….
Din nefericire, valorile lumii contemporane s-au degradat in mod dramatic. E trist. Pentru ei, cei care iau totul de-a gata, cei care se regasesc in imitatii jalnice ale fiintei umane, cei care au uitat sa traiasca, sa gandeasca, sa viseze….

Bukowski mie imi place foarte mult, nu numai pentru ca e un scriitor foarte bun, dar si pentru ca spune niste adevaruri pe care majoritatea se sfiesc sa le rosteasca. E foarte “in your face”. Daca iti place citatul si-ti place si Nietzsche, mai mult ca sigur ti-ar placea si cartile lui Bukowski.
